University of Western Cape (UWC) dominate the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers team of the group stage with five players.
The Hollywoodbets Super League side, who are among five debutants at the qualifiers this year, finished top of Group A with six points ahead of Herentals Queens of Zimbabwe on the same number points but with an inferior goal difference.

UWC scored five goals, two which came off the boot of Bongeka Gamede, who also made the group stage team, conceding just two goals, less than any other side at the competition so far. That has earned goalkeeper Siphesihle Dlamini a spot in goals for the team.
Fikile Magama and Noxolo Cesane, who have each recorded one goal, as well as captain Amogelang Motau complete the list of UWC players in the squad, while head coach Thinasonke Mbuli has been named as the Coach of the team.
Young Buffaloes of eSwatini, who will face the South Africans in the semis, have the tournament’s top goal scorer Siphilisiwe Ndlovu sitting on three and Tenanile Ngcamphalala in the team. Buffaloes finished second in Group B to book a knockout phase clash with the Blues.
The other four players that complete the team are Keitumetse Dithebe from Gaborone United, Faith Chinzimu from the hosts Ascent Academy and the Herentals duo of Alice Moyo and Tumbare Egness.
