After ASFAR secured their ticket for the CAF Champions League knockout stages with a 1-1 draw with Raja Club Athletic, here is what Mamelodi Sundowns need to book their spot.
Masandawana celebrated a 2-1 comeback-win over Union Maniema earlier on Saturday to move to eight points in Group B.
With Sundowns doing their homework, the pressure was on Raja to collect at least one point against Moroccan rivals AS FAR to keep their own hopes of progressing alive.
And the struggling Botola Pro champions did just that. It looked for long terms like Sundowns could secure qualification alongside AS FAR on Saturday but Raja scored a 77th minute equaliser.
The result was enough for AS FAR to book their ticket with nine points, while Sundowns need one more point in their final match against the log leaders at home.
Meanwhile, Raja need to hope that Downs will lose at Loftus Versfeld to AS FAR and beat Maniema Union at home to secure their spot in the Last-8.
