Mamelodi Sundowns are set to sign highly-rated midfielder Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch.
Adams, 23, has been a long-term target for Sundowns but were issued a hands-off warning from Stellies in the off-season with over R30-million demanded.
This time around, with Adams reiterating his desire for a new challenge to get out of his comfort zone, the Cape Winelands side has been more receptive in negotiations.
Sundowns have now reached a club-to-club agreement with Stellenbosch, with personal terms now being discussed with Masandawana and the players’ camp, ahead of the expected move to Chloorkop this month.
In a separate transfer, Sundowns have accepted a bid from Stellenbosch for winger Lesiba Nku and will complete the move for the winger, pending personal terms being agreed.
The former Marumo Gallants and Polokwane City talent has yet to feature for Masandawana this season, having faced fierce competition for places in the squad.
