Kaizer Chiefs advanced to the 2nd round CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round qualifiers after a 5-4 win on penalties over Kabuscrop after the tie ended 1-1 in regulation time.
The Angolan side held the slender 1-0 lead from the opening leg tie in Angola, but encountered major issues for the return leg in Mzansi, with only 12 outfield players and three goalkeepers, with their foreign players not securing visa in time to travel with the squad.

Petersen became the hero after saving one spot-kick from the visitors, while Gaston Sirino, Reeve Frosler, Flavio Da Silva, Thabo Cele and Aden McCarthy all scored for Amakhosi.
The winner between AS Simba and DR Congo and Comoros outfit Djabal d’Iconi await in the second round.
