Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will captain the PSL All Star XI in the Carling Black Label Cup against Stellenbosch FC after receiving the most votes from fans.
There had been a small tussle over Khune’s participation in Saturday’s Carling Black Label Cup after his club had sent out a statement that he was “ineligible for selection” due to his ongoing suspension from all football-related activities.
However, the statement was later withdrawn and deleted, and Khune will be the goalkeeper in the PSL All Star XI – but not just that, Khune will also captain the team against Carling Knockout champions Stellenbosch on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jose Riveiro’s technical team was also confirmed, with SuperSport United’s Thabo September and Orlando Pirates DDC coach Joseph Makhanya joining the Buccaneers coach on the sidelines of the PSL All Stars.
