Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mfundo Vilakazi says he is ready to play in the first team at his club, and promised the fans some showboating in the Carling Cup.
The 17-year-old trained with the Amakhosi first team before their league match with Richards Bay last month, however he is yet to make his first-team debut.
The midfielder was selected in the All Star side that will play Carling Knockout Cup champions Stellenbosch FC iin the Carling Black Label Cup at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The youngster told media in Polokwane on Friday that Cavin Johnson brought him to the first team to prepare for the cup.
“Coach Cavin called me to train with the first team in order to prepare for the Carling Black Label,” said Vilakazi.
“I think I’m ready [to play for the first team] but things won’t always go my way. I believe everything has its time. So when the time is right I will play in the first team not for me to force things.
Vilakazi, who is also known for his showboating, has promised that he will bring out some flair in the match in Limpopo’s capital.
“Fans should expect that [showboating] because they voted for me so that they can see more of my skills so I’ll also make sure that I make them happy tomorrow,” he added.
