Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge win back-to-back games, meanwile Orlando Pirates remains win-less after their second successive draw.
Pirates played their second successive draw after being held by Cape Town City in a four-goal thriller. Shakeel April netted a brace for City, and Siphamadoda Msezana and Mbekezeli Mbokazi scored the two goals for the Pirates.
SuperSport United shared the spoils with TS Galaxy in a 1-1 draw, Shamir Mattera scored the goal for United. Regomoditswe Modikoe score the goal for Bernard Parker’s side.
Saturday was completed by a goalless draw between Magesi FC and AmaZulu which was the second successive goalless draw for Usuthu. This was Magesi’s second draw in succession.
Sunday began with defending champions Stellenbosch FC battling with Richards Bay on a windy morning in the Western Cape. The Cape Winelands side sealed the win by 2-1 which was their first win of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs beat Chippa United in an entertaining encounter. Amakhosi came from a goal down after Luzuko Ngqina put Chilli Boyz in front. With less than 30 minutes left super-sub, Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi made equalised. Pheko Phago sealed the win for Amakhosi with 14 minutes left.
Sundowns completed their back-to-back wins as they hammered Marumo Gallants by 4-1 with Siyabonga Mabena running the show, meanwhile, Thulani Zandamela completed a brace.
