Cape Town City starlet Emile Witbooi is set to travel to the United Kingdom for an assessment at English Premier League giants Chelsea Football Club.
Witbooi joined City in January from the School Of Excellence and received his first national team call-up early last year when he went to represent South Africa’s U15 in the UEFA U16 International Development Tournament.

The 16-year-old sensation was named Midfielder Of The Tournament and Player Of The Tournament during the SAFA U15 inter-provincial tournament. The exciting youngster went onto bigger things by winning the Player of the Tournament in the U19 Bayhill Premier Cup which was hosted in Cape Town.
Since joining City, he has grown a lot in his football, as he recently helped the South Africa U20 side to win the COSAFA Cup U20 tournament as they also qualified for the U20 AFCON next year.
He has been a menace in the DStv Diski Challenge for the Citizens, and iDiski Times has now been highly informed that Witbooi will leave the country earlier this month for an assessment at the London-based club. He will be assessed for a month with the hope of securing a move.

City already have one of their youth development products Luphumlo Sifumba in Portugal at FC Vizela on a one-year loan with the option to buy.
