Parker Provides Update On Future After Coaching Offer

Premier Soccer League legend Bernard Parker has confirmed his appointment as the new TS Galaxy DStv Diski Challenge head coach.

Parker was offered the chance to move into coaching by club owner Tim Sukazi last month, as first reported by iDiski Times.

However, the iconic forward received offers to continue his career as a player which left him mulling over his next move.

Die Hond has since confirmed on his official social media accounts, he’s accepted the offer from the Rockets and officially retired from professional football.

“Thank You for the opportunity Mr chairman Tim Sukazi, TS Galaxy family and senior coaching staff for trusting me to take charge as head coach at DDC,” he wrote.

“I promise to make the most of it.”

Parker ends his career as one of the most decorated footballers of his generation and is the second highest scorer in Bafana Bafana history with 23 goals, only behind Benni McCarthy.
