The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that Royal AM’s participation in the DStv Diski Challange has been halted with immediate effect.
With their FIFA ban, meaning their are unable to register new players going into a second consecutive season, problems are beginning to arise at the KwaZulu Natal-based side.
Several of their DDC players were promoted to the first team in order to put out a squad, while Chairman Andile Mpisane has also been a regular starter for the club in the top-flight.
However, it’s left them in the lurch in the reserve league as they are unable to put out a squad to honour fixtures for the opening six games now.
“Royal AM Football Club has been unable to field a team in the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge competition due to a FIFA registration ban,” the statement from the PSL executive committee read on Friday afternoon.
“After reviewing the facts and representations presented by the club this week, the PSL Executive Committee has resolved to halt Royal AM Football Club’s participation in the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge competition.”
They have now been kicked out of the league completely due to their administration nightmare which stems from unpaid monies to Samir Nurkovic after releasing the player without compensation from his signed contract.
