Campbell Set For European Switch

SuperSport United teenager Shandre Campbell is closing in on a move to Belgian Pro League giants Club Brugge.

Campbell, 18, enjoyed a debut season to remember in the SuperSport United first team after winning the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season title at the club this campaign prior.

He emerged a regular figure in Gavin Hunt’s set-up with five goals and six assists in 30 games in all competitions and was nominated for the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season.

Club Brugge came knocking for his services, while it also emerged there was interest from Feyenoord and FC Midtjylland.

However, iDiski Times has been informed the 19-time league champions have reached an agreement with SuperSport for the talented playmaker for a move to Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League where he’s peen offered a ‘long-term contract’.

This forms part of the Club Brugge set-up which campaigns in the second-tier of Belgian football, where several of their breakout talents starred before breakthroughs into the first team and more prominent clubs around Europe.
