Done Deal: Sundowns Send Out Defender On Loan

Mamelodi Sundowns have loaned Bhongolwethu Siyasi to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Academy, iDiski Times can confirm.

Siyasi has been training with Downs’ first team before featuring in Downs’ 3-0 win over AmaZulu in the Black Label Cup in November.

The 20-year-old was highly praised by head coach Rulani Mokwena after his sub appearance but is yet to make his official debut for the club.

Siyasi was previously with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Towns Spurs and he can play as a right-back or at center-back.

After Downs snatched him from Spurs, he joined the club’s DStv Diski Challenge team and managed to score a brace against TS Galaxy’s DDC team.

A source confirmed to iDiski Times that Siyasi has joined VFA on loan until the end of the season.

VFA are sitting 15th on the standings with just 10 points after 12 games.

They have conceded the second-most goals in the National First Division and will hope the signing of Siyasi will help to solve their problems at the back.
