The release of the 2025/26 English Premier League opening weekend fixtures was announced on Wednesday with defending champions Liverpool kickstarting their title defence against Bournemouth on Friday, August 15, at Anfield.
The new season gets underway exactly 84 days since the 2024/25 campaign concluded, and will run until Sunday, May 24, 2026, with all the matches kicking off simultaneously as per usual.
League runners-up Arsenal will be travelling to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday, 17 August, while Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have a trip to Wolves on Saturday, 16 August.
Europa Conference League winners Chelsea have a tough home tie against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace also on Sunday, 17 August, and then Carabao Cup champions Newcastle United travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, 16 August.
