Golden Arrows co-coach Kagisho Dikgacoi has named former Manchester United striker Wilfred Zaha as one of the best players he’s played with.
Dikgacoi spent six years in England in the Premier League and Championship between 2009 and 2014 and shared a dressing room with Zaha at Cardiff City and Palace.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder spoke to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago in edition 184 of the newspaper, conceding that he has shared the dressing room with quite a number of good players with Zaha standing out from their time at Palace.
“I could mention a lot that I’ve played with. But I think a season where we had Wilfred Zaha at Crystal Palace, a lot of big teams were interested in him,” Dikgacoi told iDiski Times.
“He actually went to go play for Manchester United because that’s how good he was during that time. He’s one of the best players that I could think of now. Possibly outstanding out of all the players that I’ve played with.
As far as the best he has faced, the former Fulham hardman rates former Arsenal and Germany attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil as the best opponent.
“There is a lot,” added Dikgacoi.
“Some, we played just one game or two games. I could mention the likes of [Sergio] Busquets and Xavi [Hernandes], but it was just one game or two or we were playing international games. And for a few times when Mesut Ozil was still at Arsenal, he was in his prime and he was a difficult player to play against. So, I would say Ozil”.
