Liverpool have been dealt yet another injury blow with Cody Gakpo a doubt for their Premier League clash at home against Wolves on Sunday.
The Reds already have defender Joe Gomez out with a thigh injury, while Curtis Jones is suspended, and Tyron Morton remains sidelined.
A plus though for Arne Slot’s troops is that Trent Alexander-Arnold featured in the chaotic Merseyside derby which ended in a pulsating 2-2 draw at Goodison Park with the Dutch mentor confirming that Gakpo might not play part in the Wolves match.
“We saw Trent [Alexander-Arnold], of course, being able to play,” Slot said, according to Daily Mail.
“It was the intention to play around half an hour, I think he played somewhere around half an hour, so he will be training with us again. Joe Gomez is out and Tyler Morton is out.
“Cody is a bit of a doubt as well, so let’s wait [to see] how he is today.

“I had to take him off because of an injury, because he got a knock, so let’s see how he is today.”
The Anfield outfit currently lead second-placed Arsenal by seven points and could extend that to 10 with a home win should the Gunners lose ground in their away tie to Leicester City.
