Liverpool and Portugal Diogo Jota has sadly died in a car accident in Zamora, Spain.
The 28-year-old and his brother Andre Silva have passed away, in news first reported in Spanish and English media, but now also confirmed by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Jota, who had been with Liverpool since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020, just got married two weeks ago and leaves behind three children.
He featured in 182 games, scoring 65 goals and assisting in 26 more.
