Munetsi Salvages Draw For Wolves

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi saved Wolves’ blushes as he scored the equalizer in their 1-1 draw against Everton in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean captain was named in manager Vitor Pereira’s starting 11 and put in a stellar performance in an attacking role tapping in from close range in the 39th minute after being played in by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

With star man Matheus Cunha watching from the stands beginning a minimum three-match ban, Munetsi scored his first goal for the Old Gold before being hauled off at half-time.

Since joining Wolves from French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims in February 2025, the 28-year-old has scored once and provided a single assist in four league matches.

Wolves are now in 17th position, just six points above the relegation zone, with 10 matches remaining.
