Manchester United pay some of the biggest pay cheques in the EPL with outcast Casemiro currently the biggest earner at the club with a staggering £350,000 per week.
United recently signed Patrick Dorgu for £29.4million from Lecce, but not even he cracks the nod as he is among the club’s lowest earners with a weekly wage of £40,000 after agreeing to a five-and-a-half-year contract.
According to Daily Mail, the 20-year-old Denmark international earns even lower than defender Jonny Evans or reserve goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
Dorgu is expected to be thrown into the deep end when United take on Leicester City in the FA Cup Fourth Round at Old Trafford on Friday after Lisandro Martinez tore his ACL in their defeat to Crystal Palace and Luke Shaw suffered yet another minor setback.
United currently have five players on their books that take home hefty salaries with some of them not regular starters and others out on loan.
Here’s a look at the top five, as per Daily Mail.
- Casemiro – £350,000
- Marcus Rashford – £300,000 (currently on loan at Aston Villa)
- Bruno Fernandes – £300,000
- Antony – £200,000 (currently on loan at Real Betis)
- Luke Shaw – £150,000
The Red Devils have hit new lows this term and currently hover in 13th spot after they succumbed to their 11th defeat of the campaign against the Eagles last weekend.
