Wolves Boss Praise Munetsi After New Signing Netted First Goal

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira was hugely impressed by new signing Marshall Munetsi after scoring his first goal for the club this past weekend.

The Zimbabwean international captain made a £16million move to the English Premier League outfit from French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims last month and has asserted himself by earning plaudits from his boss.

Munetsi’s energy was rewarded with a 40th minute strike that levelled matters after Everton had taken an early lead through Jack Harrison.

The 28-year-old was however hauled off just before the halftime break after feeling some discomfort.

Pereira particularly praised Munetsi’s work-rate, though he has demanded to see a lot more from the former Orlando Pirates midfielder.

“He fights for every ball,” said the manager, according to Daily Mail.

“He defends, appears in the box to score, tries to press everywhere.

“Sometimes we need to control him a little bit! We need balance in the way we attack and defend and how we press.”
