Agent Gives Appollis Update

Oswin Appollis’ agent Lance Davids says there is no update on any transfer of the Bafana Bafana winger for now and he remains a Rise & Shine player.

Appollis, 23, has had a great breakthrough campaign at Polokwane City last season, scoring seven goals and assisting five more.

His fine performances have seen him being called up by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, where he has become a regular and was part of the squad that won bronze at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

He scored his first two international goals during Bafana’s 3-2 comeback-win over South Sudan during the recent international break and has awoken interest by clubs inside and outside of South Africa.

However, despite links to Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns as well as ES Tunis and MC Alger, no move has materialised so far. With the PSL transfer window closing at midnight on Friday, time is running out and Davids now stated there is currently no movement to report.

“I’ve seen your requests for an update on Oswin Appollis given the interest shown by several clubs,” he stated on social media.

“As things stand, there is none – he remains contracted to Polokwane City.”

iDiski Times sources have suggested that at this point Appollis looks set to be included in match-day squad for Polokwane’s Limpopo derby against Betway Premiership newbies Magesi this coming weekend after missing the previous selection.
