Barker Praises Mojela’s Influence Since Joining Stellies

Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker highly praised forward Bradley Mojela as he continues to score goals.

Mojela has been a menace to the Premier Soccer League defenders this season since arriving from TS Galaxy and has also scored in each and every competition Stellies has played in so far.

The 28-year-old scored in the MTN8 semi-final second leg to ultimately knock Mamelodi Sundowns out and help Stellies book a place in the final. He also recently netted in the CAF Confederation Cup against AS Vita Club both home and away, as the Cape Winelands outfit booked a group stage berth.

Barker hopes Mojela’s performance continues ahead of the MTN8 final against Orlando Pirates this coming weekend, after his opening goal against Polokwane City as the sides played to a 1-1 draw.

“Bradley Mojela has been really good for us, he is getting on the scoresheet, he is scoring some really good goals,” Barker told the gathered media.

“Tonight was a really quality goal, it’s nice that he is scoring and he is playing with a lot of confidence.

“He is a handful for any team, a lot of energy, a lot of movement, a lot of pressing and adding goals to that he is a formidable player for us.

“I’m happy for him also he had been booked early in the game so it was a little bit risky to leave him on, maybe he will get a second yellow card but he well-taken goal hopefully his goalscoring can continue.”
