Kaizer Chiefs reserve team winger Donay Jansen has been spotted in the first team ahead of their DStv Premiership clash against Royal AM on Saturday evening.
Jansen, 20, has been one of the stars of their DStv Diski Challenge squad over the past 12 months and has long been touted for a promotion.
On Thursday, he was spotted amongst the senior players training under the watchful eye of the technical team, sparking talk of now being officially promoted.
Jansen, who is the cousin of former Amakhosi captain Bernard Parker hails from Reiger Park and previously turned out for local teams in Boksburg and with Sun United before his switch to Chiefs.
Last season, he netted 12 goals in the reserve league and scored in the Soweto Derby 1-1 draw that opened up the 2023/24 DDC campaign last weekend.
