Chivaviro Attracts Interest From Three Clubs

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has attracted interest from three clubs, as he looks to get his career back on track.

Chivaviro, 32, has scored 26 goals in 75 games over the last three seasons for Chiefs and Marumo Gallants respectively, and his profile has remained interesting for several clubs.

Having parted ways with Chiefs upon the expiry of his contract, sources confirmed contact has officially been made by the new Siwelele brand, formerly SuperSport United, Iraqi Premier League side Zakho SC and Azam in Tanzania.

Azam were interested in his services prior to his move to Chiefs, along with Young Africans, and it appears they still hold the player in high regard – with the club now under new leadership with Florent Ibenge recently appointed their new head coach.

Meanwhile, Siwelele are in the market for a new striker, after losing Bradley Grobler to Sekhukhune United, and Terrence Dzvukamanja returning to Zimbabwe with Scottland FC.

It remains to be seen where the towering striker takes his next move, with the player biding his time for an interesting project, as he looks to return to the form that saw the Soweto giants come calling back in July 2023.
