Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr debut has been delayed after he was not included in the match-day squad for Friday’s clash against Al Tai.
The Portuguese superstar completed a move to the Saudi Pro League side and arrived in the country on Monday.
He was unveiled on Tuesday and many expected him to feature against Al Tai, with the match initially scheduled for Thursday but it was delayed by one day “due heavy rain and weather conditions impacting the stadium’s electricity”.
On Friday, Ronaldo initially arrived with his teammates at the stadium but he was not part of the match day squad selected by coach Rudi Garcia.
Meanwhile, Vincent Abubaker was also not named in the squad to face Al Tai, with the Cameroon international reportedly set to leave to free up a foreign quota spot.
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is starting for Al-Nassr opponents Al Tai.
