Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have secured the Hollywoodbets Super League title for a record fifth time after thumping Matsatsantsa TUT Ladies 5-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Andisiwe Mgcoyi and Rhoda Mulaudzi grabbed braces with Lelona Daweti scoring the other goal to see Sundowns confirm their dominance with 80 points with a game to spare. Jerry Tshabalala’s side has scored 112 goals and conceded just 12. Meanwhile, TUT are in 11th spot with 32 points also from 29 matches.
In the only other game from the weekend, University of Western Cape (UWC) lost 2-1 to JVW FC. Keolebogile Putu and Jessica Wade were on the score sheet for the Blue Diamonds as they remained in fifth place with 52 points from 29 games. UWC, who are gearing up for their debut at the Champions League, remained in second position with 66 points with two games to go.

After bagging their fifth consecutive league title, the Queens of the Continent will now jet out of the country for Morocco to start the defense of their CAF Women’s Champions League title which commences on 09-23 November 2024.
