Kaizer Chiefs defender Austin Dube has insisted that Amakhosi are aiming to win all their remaining games this season.
Dube, who arrived at Chiefs at the beginning of the season from GladAfrica Championship side Richards Bay FC, has managed to play 14 games this season in all competitions, starting 11 times.
The 29-year old emphasised that they’ve been preparing well for SuperSport United and want to get maximum points to keep their CAF Champions League hopes alive..
“We’ve been preparing very well going to the game on Saturday against SuperSport United. So far, we’ve been doing great at training, everything has been great so far,” Dube told Chiefs media department.
“We’ve played them in the first round, so we quite know how they actually play. It’s a bit of advantage to us, they know us, we know them [but] the focus is not too much on them, it’s actually improving on our side, we have to improve, coming from the previous game that we had last week on Tuesday.
“For us the focus is on the remaining games, we’ve been positive about the remaining games. We go all out to win all of them and it’s possible to win all the remaining games, so that’s what we working towards.”
Amakhosi are set to welcome their 12th man at the FNB Stadium, while the Cape Town-born defender will play in front of ‘Black and Gold’ supporters for the very first time since he joining Chiefs.
“Personally, I am really looking forward to the supporters being there. We’ve been missing them a lot,” he added.
“It will be an advantage for us having them in the stands and we urge them to come in numbers and to get vaccinated or to get their PCR tests done, so they are able to be at the stadium on Saturday.
Amakhosi are set to face SuperSport at the FNB stadium on Saturday evening, with tickets going on sale for R70.00.
