Chippa United midfielder Andile Jali admits that his diet has now changed since he left Johannesburg for the Eastern Cape, saying he can be found eating sheepshead these days.
The 34-year-old midfield enforcer joined the Chilli Boys in early July 2024 after being clubless since leaving Moroka Swallows in December 2023 due to the club’s financial struggles.
Despite not revealing what he used to eat during his playing career in Gauteng, ‘AJ15’ seems to like the feeling of staying at home and being close to his family where he can enjoy home cooked meals.
“It’s nice, it’s very nice to be home,” Jali told SuperSport.
“And eating home-cooked meals like sheepshead that I’m eating right now(laughs). My diet is now different from what I used to eat in Jozi.”
The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns captain has promised the club’s fans of a new Chippa side ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign, and that the “old ways” of the club is now a thing of the past.
