iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has labelled Orlando Pirates attacker Patrick Maswanganyi as a star player after he put in an impressive performance in their Nedbank Cup semifinal tie against Marumo Gallants.
The Buccaneers reached their third successful Nedbank Cup final after a narrow 1-0 win over Bahlabane Ba Ntwa and will meet nemesis Kaizer Chiefs who left it late against Mamelodi Sundowns with a 2-1 victory at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday.
The former Chiefs winger believes that ‘Tito’ should instead have been man of the match despite Kabelo Dlamini scooping the award after his well taken strike.
“Tito, the vision, the square pass,” Khanye told Nkululeko Nkewu on iDiski TV.
“Tito is the only player that I saw being in charge in the middle. Tito was dictating the game. For me he’s the contender for man of the match. He played really well.
“You can’t even tell that he’s just come back from injury. He knows. he’s a star.”
