Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng could be set to make his long-awaited return to the field when they take on Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Sunday after being spotted in training this morning.
The 27-year-old speedster hasn’t featured for the Buccaneers since December when they played against Al Ahly SC in the CAF Champions League group stages match at Orlando Stadium.
He did however recently feature for Bafana Bafana in the CHAN qualifiers first leg before being recalled by the club.
On Saturday morning, as the Buccaneers players were taken through their regular gym session, Saleng was spotted among the players which could be an indication that both the player and the club have smoked the peace pipe after a contractual saga that saw him miss training on numerous occasions and eventually being dropped from the squad.
Saleng has played 70 games under the leadership of Riveiro and contributed 25 goals and 17 assists, helping the side to win three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cup trophies.
