Orlando Pirates’ Patrick Maswanganyi won three awards at the PSL awards, which earned him combined prize money worth R400,000.
Tito, as he is affectionally known, can look back at a standout debut campaign at the Buccaneers after joining from SuperSport United ahead of 2023/24.
During the 2024 PSL awards, which were held virtually, Maswanganyi was named Player’s Player of the Season – as voted for by the players, with a maximum of 30 players per DStv Premiership club allowed to vote.
He’s bagged prize money worth R200,000 for the Player’s Player of the Season award.
The 26-year-old was also named Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament, after scoring four goals and assisting another three in five games on Pirates’ way to the title, which earned him another R150,000 in prize money.
Last but not least, he was also named DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season, pocketing another R50,000, making his overall prize money R400,000 on the evening.
