Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung has expressed gratitude to the club’s supporters ahead of the Home of Legends Cup in the Eastern Cape.
With the international break upon us, Chiefs will take part in the event created by the Mandela Bay Development Agency which sees Mamelodi Sundowns, Golden Arrows and hosts Chippa United also in the one-day extravaganza in Gqeberha on 16 November.

“We’re delighted to be part of this initiative,” Motaung said ahead of the tournament this weekend.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible support this season. We encourage our fans to continue showing their passion and loyalty. Their presence makes a significant difference to the team’s performance.”
This comes amidst certain supporters creating issues at stadiums during an indifferent run of form. Despite the passion and sold-out arenas across the country, Chiefs are facing another hefty fine and potentially harsher punishment due to crowd troubles.

Against Mamelodi Sundowns, three fans were arrested for pitch invasions, while they are set to be charged again this season for the projectiles aimed at officials during the 4-0 drubbing against Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium.
