Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars have announced the signing of 18 new players, including former Kaizer Chiefs defender Yagan Sasman.
Stars missed out on the PSL/promotional playoffs spot by four points last season, finishing in seventh place with 43 points.

With the MFC campaign set to kick-off within seven days, Stars announced 18 new signings on Monday afternoon: Siyabonga Vilane, Teboho Lekhatla, Nhlanhla Ntuli, Nande Jojwana, Kabelo Mofokeng, Boysen Mbatha, Katleho Molaba, Yagan Sasman, Mlungisi Mokhwanazi, Mlungisi Zwane, Thabang Rakwena, Oegeng Phiri, Lako Lako (GK), Marc Anderson (GK), Ofentse Mothapo, Marate Ndiengune, Lesego Sebetlela, Joel Agoe.
The team is led by Govinder Sundra who was recently linked with Marumo Gallants as co-coach to Dylan Kerr who has since resigned.
Well-travelled Peter Koutroulis is the team manager of the side, and played a pivotal role in helping Magesi FC gain automatic PSL promotion.
