Cape Town City have made their third signing in this transfer window, adding 1,95m tall Congolese defender Ramazani Tshimanga.
The 21-year-old was signed from Congolese side JS Grp. Bazano on a five-year contract, City announced on Friday.
Tshimanga will become the second Congolese defender in the side, as City already have Nathan Fasika Idumba but he is out injured at the moment, having suffered a severe knee injury and is set to return in November, as predicted by coach Eric Tinkler.
City, who lost Mdu Mdantsane to Kaizer Chiefs, and released Bertrand Mane, Jordan Bender and Ashley Nel, have already signed Tshegofatso Nyama from TS Galaxy and Angolan forward Jo Pacienca from GD Interclube, while they have also promoted Luyolo Slatsha.
Lyle Lakay, who was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns last term, has returned to Chloorkop and has basically been replaced with the signing of Nyama, and Mogamat May, who was on loan from NB La Masia in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season, has also been released.
City will start the 2023/24 season away when they visit Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on 6 August.
