Stellenbosch FC has confirmed the exit of midfielder Nhlanhla Mgaga after two years with the club.
iDiski Times reported last week that Mgaga was heading for the exit door having joined the club from Baroka FC in July 2022. This past season, he won the Carling Knockout Cup and also helped Stellies qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
The exit of Mgaga didn’t come as a surprise as he lacked game time, coming in as a substitute in most games toward the end of the current season.
He made 63 appearances across all competitions during his time at the Cape Winelands, scoring once and recording five assists. He has been rumored to be joining AmaZulu FC.
