Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Asekho Tiwani from Sekhukhune United.
Tiwani, 19, made his breakthrough to the senior side five months ago when he made his debut in a 3-1 victory against Richards Bay.
The left-back didn’t look back since and has played in almost every match for Babina Noko since, including in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Asidlali product scored a cracker against Cape Town Spurs, which won Goal of the Month for April. The goal was nominated for Goal of the Season but it was outdone by the goal of Orlando Pirates’ Thabiso Lebitso in the Soweto derby.
At Sundowns, the defender will be competing with Aubrey Modiba, Terrence Mashego, and Devine Lunga in that left-back position, but Tiwani can also still play DDC, as he is still under the age of 21.
So far, Downs announced the signing of the Brazilian Arthur de Oliveira Sales from Lommel SK in the Belgium Pro League as well as Kobamelo Kodisang from Moreirense, while Keegan Johannes also joined as part of the deal that saw Nyiko Mobbie and Ricardo Goss move to SuperSport.
