Orlando Pirates could potentially lose versatile Deon Hotto on free transfer as his contract is set to expire and no talks over a new deal have taken place yet.
Hotto, 34, completed a big move to Pirates from Bidvest Wits in 2020/21 season. It was bidding war at the time with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns also in the race, but the Buccaneers won his signature.
In his five years at Pirates, the Namibian international managed to play over 200 games, scoring 27 goals and registered 38 assists as a left-back and sometimes as a left-wing and right-wing.
The former Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic player served the Buccaneers with distinction throughout his career as he has helped the club to win six trophies, four MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cups. He also played a huge role in helping the side reach the CAF Champions League semi-final this season.
iDiski Times has established that Hotto’s stay at Pirates could be coming to an end as his current contract is set to expire in a month’s time and no talks over a new contract have taken place at this stage.
As a free agent he would be allowed to join a team of his choice.
