PLK City Part Ways With Three Players

Polokwane City won’t renew the contracts of Ndumiso Mabena, Lucky Baloyi and Given Mashikinya.

Mabena joined City at the beginning of the season on a one-year contract after a short spell with Orlando Pirates. The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker made 16 appearances for Rise and Shine and scored two goals.

Baloyi joined City six months after Mabena’s arrival on a short-term contract. The former Celtic midfielder played five matches, four of which were league matches.

Mashikinya completes the list of exit players. The left-footed midfielder sees his contract not renewed by City after signing one year at the beginning of the season.

Rise and Shine returned to training earlier this week without their right-back Thabang Matuludi who is at Bafana Bafana for the COSAFA Cup.
