Ranga – I’m Getting Stronger

Ahead of Kaizer Chiefs game against Polokwane City on Saturday, Ranga Chivaviro says he is looking forward, and wants to end a disappointing season on a high.

Chivaviro has scored four times in the league this season but has only started eleven games due to injuries, while also featuring seven times off the bench.

After an excellent campaign with Marumo Gallants last season, the 31-year-old had hoped to start the season well at Naturena.

“Seasons are different,” Chivaviro told journalists on Thursday.

“Before I came here, obviously the plan was to hit the ground running. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t to be, my first few months I got injured.

“I was just trying to catch up with the guys. But I believe I’m in a space that moving forward is the only direction for me. And two games left, I want to give the best that I can and hopefully take that form into the next coming season.”

Chivaviro said that against Polokwane, they are focussed on themselves, and want to implement what they’ve been working on in training.

“We don’t really focus on the opponent’s strength, we focus on ourselves. we want to implement what we have to do each and every day in training, he said.

“And we believe that it’s gonna give us the results on Saturday.”

He said that he is looking to end the season on a high, after those early setbacks.

“I believe pressure is everywhere.” he continued.

“For me, personally, I’ve underachieved, but I had a couple of setbacks. I’m not gonna use that as excuses.

“But I believe going forward, I’m getting stronger. I’m adding value to such a big institution. And hopefully, I score the amount of goals that I that I believe I can score.”
