New Al Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro says joining a club of the Red Devils magnitude is something he hoped and dreamed of.
The Spaniard left Orlando Pirates after winning five trophies in three seasons and was officially unveiled at the Club of the Century on Thursday evening after the club wrapped up their 45th league title the night prior.

Riveiro has been tasked to lead the club into the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America and restore their order in the CAF Champions League over the course of his two-year contract.
After winning four African Champions League titles in five seasons, they were knocked out in the semi-finals this season by Mamelodi Sundowns, while Riveiro fell short against Pyramids with the Buccaneers.
On Al Ahly TV, via Ahmed Shobier’s official show, Riveiro stated: “I’m at a European club. You [Al Ahly] don’t lack anything… This is what I have dreamed of and hoped for: to coach a team the size of Al Ahly.”
Riveiro is expected to do his official introduction interview and presented to the media in the coming days as they prepare for the Club World Cup opener against Inter Miami in June.
