Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena continues to call out for poor officiating in Morocco’s Botola Pro League.
Mokwena has shown his displeasure of late with the inconsistency of match officials in Botola Pro since the start of the season. The South African mentor felt he was on the receiving end one more time after their 1-1 draw against HUSA this past weekend.
The 37-year-old pleaded to the Moroccan journalists to be louder about the officiating in the league stating that they should write about the situation. He also mentioned that they should uphold the standard of Moroccan football.
“I don’t talk about the referees, go watch Mbaye’s foul inside the box there was no penalty,” Mokwena told the media.
“I won’t mention the club’s name, but I saw a similar penalty given in this league [Botola Pro Inwi] and going to Europe there was a similar penalty that was given two days ago I saw it.
“Go to Nassir, he was fouled inside the box, I don’t have a problem with the other side and today go watch Moffied, there’s a situation with Moffied. I’m surprised just watch these things. You guys as the reporters, the journalists you have to write about these.
“I don’t train with the referees; I don’t train referees so I can’t comment on them but what is important is to give a good image of Moroccan football.”
