Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting lineups for this afternoon’s MTN8 second-leg semi-final clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Sundowns have it all to do after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Stellies in the first-leg semifinal tie at home at Lucas Moripe Stadium despite creating numerous opportunities which they failed to convert.
Stellenbosch equally created great opportunities and took their chance with a 60th-minute penalty from Fawaaz Basadien which proved to be the decider, a huge advantage heading into this afternoon’s second leg tie. The Cape Winelands side is utilising Moses Mabhida Stadium as their home ground since Danie Craven Stadium is under maintenance.
A goalless draw would send Stellenbosch to their first-ever MTN8 final, and a 1-0 win for Sundowns would take the game to extra-time and penalties if undecided, while a two-goal margin win for Sundowns would send them through to their second successive MTN8 final. Any win for Stellenbosch will send them through.
Here is how they line up:
Sundowns XI: February, Lebusa, Kekana, Mashego, Mudau, Mokoena, Allende, Zwane, Letlhaku, Ribeiro, Sales
Subs: Pieterse, Coetzee, Morena, Modiba, Aubaas, Maboe, Kodisang, Matthews, Shalulile
