Stellenbosch FC and Simba SC have announced their respective starting line-ups for this afternoon’s CAF Confederation Cup second leg semi-final tie at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The Cape Winelands outfit have it all to do in this tie after narrowly going down 1-0 in Zanzibar last week.
Steve Barker’s charges have however suffered further blow that captain and first-choice goalkeeper Sage Stephens will once again sit out the tie after failing to recover from a calf injury he sustained in the quarterfinal second leg win over defending champions Zamalek.
Barker has already fired warning salvo at the Tanzanians that he’s adamant his troops have the capability to overturn their first leg 1-0 deficit.
A lot of people didn’t believe that we could get past Zamalek to get to the semi-final, and maybe some people believe we can’t make the final, but I’ve said from day one that any team that underestimates us in this competition will do so at their peril,” he told the club’s official website.
