Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC have announced their starting line-ups ahead of tonight’s MTN8 first-leg semi-final tie at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
As last season’s runners-up, Sundowns will be looking to go all the way this time around after head coach Manqoba Mngqithi made a bold claim that they would be the first team to get their hands on the increased R10 Million prize money, while Stellies aim to spoil the party for the hosts who could only manage a 1-0 win in extra-time via an own goal to advance to the semis over Polokwane City.
Stellenbosch on the other hand, eliminated TS Galaxy with a comfortable 3-1 victory and will be on course to go a step closer to challenging for the Wafa Wafa cup after winning their first domestic trophy last season in the form of the Carling Knockout Cup.
These two sides face each other for the first time in the MTN8 competition. Last season, Sundowns beat Stellies three times, twice in the league and once in the Nedbank Cup.
Here is how they line up:
Sundowns XI: February, Lebusa, Kekane, Mashego, Mudau, Mokoena, Modiba, Allende, Ribeiro, Matthews, Shalulile
