AmaZulu FC coach Arthur Zwane has discussed how Bafana Bafana‘s FIFA World Cup qualification could make things “difficult” for the clubs in the Betway Premiership this season.
Zwane was speaking after AmaZulu’s narrow 1-0 win in the Betway Premiership over Durban City, which took place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this past Saturday.

He was asked how the Bafana World Cup qualification would intensify competition and motivation among club players hoping for a national team call-up.
While he views the players’ desire to be seen as a positive sign of their ambitions and dreams, Zwane warned that this increased individual focus could ultimately make things difficult for the clubs this season.
“It’s important for all the players to play to be seen,” said Zwane during the press conference.
“It shows that they trust themselves and they see an opportunity for them to be called up to the national team.
“It’s right when it’s like that because it shows that you’re a player that wants to grow.
“If you’re a player that doesn’t dream and set goals for them, you’re like someone who plays football but with no direction. But in this level, we want to see players growing.
“It will be difficult for all the clubs in the league because every player sees that a coach is giving opportunities to the players.”
