Wydad Athletic Club winger Thembinkosi Lorch has reacted to his side’s 4-1 defeat to Serie A giants Juventus, where he scored his side’s only goal.
Lorch, 31, had already impressed in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, where his dazzling display received a 7.8 rating – the second highest on the day behind Phil Foden.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates winger continued to make a name for himself at the tournament, scoring with a superb chip against Juve.
However, it wasn’t enough to prevent his side’s second loss, which sealed Wydad’s elimination from the tournament after Manchester City beat Al Ain 6-0 in the other group fixture.
But Lorch insisted the Moroccan giants remain in good spirits and take their clashes against some of the best clubs as learning curve.
“We face the best teams in the world and we learn,” he told FIFA.com.
“There is a good team spirit. We’ve learned a lot of things.
“We don’t dwell on the defeat, but on all the experience gained.
“I thank the fans, they give everything for us.”
