Mamelodi Sundowns defender Divine Lunga has been named in the official Club World Cup Team of the Week and is the only African player to make the cut.
The Zimbabwean left-back put in a stellar performance as they picked up a crucial 1-0 win over South Korean outfit Ulsan HD in their Group F opener.
Lunga had an outstanding display in that game, which saw him receive an 8.0 Sofascore rating and was named in the Team of the Week, alongside Nicolas Otamendi, Sergio Ramos and Marcos Acuña.
The rest of the team includes Inter Miami shotstopper Oscar Ustari, Vitinha of PSG, Flamengo’s Luiz Araujo, Pedro Neto of Chelsea as well as Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, Randal Kolo Muani from Juventus and Botafogo’s Igor Jesus.
