With Mamelodi Sundowns facing Fluminense in their final Group F match at the FIFA Club World Cup, only a win would open the door to the knockout stages, which would earn them a whopping R173 million.
Masandawana currently sit in third place behind Fluminense and Dortmund, who both have four points. With Dortmund facing Ulsan HD in the other group fixture, even a draw would not be enough for Sundowns.

In this case, Sundowns would move to four points as well, the same as BVB (IF they would lose to Ulsan) but Fluminense would move to five points. With head-to-head then the deciding factor between the Betway Premiership champions and the Bundesliga giants, Dortmund would still advance.
As a consequence, only a win would see Sundowns progressing, most likely at the expense of Fluminense, with Dortmund expected to beat Ulsan.
Sundowns already earned R174 million in participation fees plus R36 million for their win over Ulsan in prize money, but a win over Fluminense would see them bank another R36 million plus R137 million for reaching the Last 16.
Sundowns’ potential Last 16 opponents: Internazionale, Monterrey or River Plate.
Sundowns’ potential quarter-final opponents: Al Hilal, Juventus, Manchester City, Real Madrid or Salzburg.
