Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Edson Castillo came of the bench in back-to-back appearances for Venezuela.
Castillo has been called up in the back-to-back international windows, but didn’t feature in the previous international break.
This time around, though, Castillo played in both games, as Venezuela collected back-to-back draws.
After coming off the bench after 84 minutes against Ecuador, Castillo also featured in the 1-1 in Peru.
The Chiefs midfielder came on after 85 minutes to make his eighth appearance – his second this window after he had last featured in October 2021.
They remained in fourth place in the CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with nine points from six matches – two more than Brazil.
