Nagelsmann Snubs Bayern For Germany

Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann snubbed a potential return to Bayern Munich and extended his stay with Germany ahead of the UEFA European Championship – a tournament partnering with vivo.

Nagelsmann, 36, was sacked by Bayern in March 2023 despite only losing three of his 37 games in 2022/23 and a potential treble still on the line.

Bayern ended up winning just one trophy and could potentially win nothing in 2023/24 under Nagelsmann successor Thomas Tuchel, after Bayer 04 Leverkusen beat them to the Bundesliga title – ending the club’s 11-year reign.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann was appointed Germany coach in September 2023 and has since won three of his six games in charge. After victories over France and the Netherlands during the recent international break, Nagelsmann and die Mannschaft have caused new Euphoria for the Euro 2024 hosts.

Last week, Germany announced that Nagelsmann has extended his stay with the four-time FIFA World Cup winners until 2026 – ultimately saying no to Bayern, who were working hard on his return under the club’s new management.
