South Africa international striker Dino Ndlovu is in blistering form in Turkey as he leads the scoring charts in his debut season.
Ndlovu, 31, joined Kocaelispor during the off-season after three years in China with Zhejiang FC where he departed as the club’s all-time record scorer with 42 goals in 67 games.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns striker had a slow start with no goals in his first four games as he looked to regain full fitness after an extended spell without football due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But his last six games has seen him net eight goals and register a single assist which included a hattrick over Balikesirspor.
His latest strike in the 1-1 draw against Denizlispor was the pick of the bunch as he smashed home a thunderbolt into the top corner which highlighted his rich vein of form.
With eight goals in the league during the 2021/22 season, Ndlovu is one ahead of experienced Switzerland international striker Eren Derdiyok who stars for Ankaragücü.
The eight-time capped Bafana striker last represented the country in November 2018 during a 0-0 draw with Paraguay under former head coach Stuart Baxter.
He made his debut under Gordon Igesund at the age of 22 and represented the likes of QarabaÄŸ FK, Maccabi Haifa, Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv and Anorthosis Famagusta during his successful spell abroad.
